Verge side collection of green waste is undertaken twice a year in the residential areas of Boyanup, Capel, Dalyellup and Peppermint Grove Beach.

Extension of RESTRICTED Burning Period

The RESTRICTED Burning Period for the whole of the Shire of Capel remains and has been extended from 6 May to 12 May 2024 (inclusive).

Any burning will require a permit from the local Fire Control Officer. Details are available on our website Here

The Shire of Capel is excited to announce that Captivate Capel is returning in March 2024.

This year we will be focusing on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose.

We encourage community members, businesses, clubs or organisations from across the Southwest to get actively involved.

Opportunities include:
