The PROHIBITED Burning Period for the whole of the Shire of Capel remains and has been extended from 29 April to 5 May 2024 (inclusive).
Permits to burn will NOT be issued during this time.
The Shire developed an Age Friendly Communities Strategy to identify how age-friendly it is, what barriers to ageing exist and how these can be addressed.
This Strategy was developed using an internationally tested model developed by the World Health Organisation (WHO), which looks at the following features of an age-friendly community:
