GWINDINUP BRIDGE CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE

Published on Wednesday, 13 May 2026 at 1:33:19 PM

We’d like to keep the community informed about the current closure of Gwindinup Bridge on Gwindinup Road.

Following a recent scheduled inspection by Main Roads (carried out every 5–7 years to ensure bridge safety), it was identified that significant maintenance works are required.

🛠 What this means:
• The bridge is closed to all vehicle traffic
• Pedestrian access remains open
• Works are expected to take approximately six months (subject to change as works progress)
The closure was not anticipated by the Shire, as the outcome of the inspection required immediate action. We understand this may be frustrating and disruptive, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.
💬 What’s next?
We’ll continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available, including clearer timeframes as the project progresses.
