The Shire of Capel invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified organisations seeking to lease a large, purpose-built meeting and service delivery space within the new Dalyellup Library and Youth Hub, current under construction and scheduled to open July 2026.

The Shire of Capel invites passionate and innovative hospitality professionals to submit an Expression of Interest to establish and operate a vibrant new café at the Dalyellup Library and Youth Hub, currently under construction and scheduled to open in July 2026.

Temporary lane closures will be implemented along Forrest Beach Road to facilitate filming works for a television series.

Temporary road closure and traffic diversion that will be implemented along Tuart Drive, Ludlow, between Layman Road and Ludlow Road North, to facilitate the filming of driving scenes for a television series.

Not to worry, your bin will be collected as usual on Monday 27th January with your long weekend waste!

The Shire of Capel will be carrying out shoulder widening, kerbing and asphalt works on Gavins Road (SLK 7.21–16.31).

Please be advised that the Wave Walk Public Ablutions at Peppermint Grove Beach and the South Lake Park Public Ablutions in Dalyellup will be temporarily closed from Monday, 12 January 2026.

Election Results

The public is hereby notified that the Shire of Capel will be holding a Special Ordinary Council Meeting in the Capel Council Chambers, Shire of Capel Administration Building, Forrest Road, Capel on Wednesday, 22 October 2025 commencing at 6.00pm.  

Spurr & Ilmenite Rd, Capel LIA on Friday, 25th July from 8am – 10am.

The meeting is to be held on Wednesday, 23 July 2025 @ 6:00 pm

Your bin will be collected as usual on Monday, 2nd June.

The public toilets at Ironstone Gully Falls will be undergoing a makeover as of Wednesday 30th of April until the 19th of May.

Please be advised that pavement repair works will take place on Tuart Drive at Ludlow River Bridge on Thursday, 1 May 2025.

The Shire of Capel wishes to advise community members and visitors to the region of our opening hours for the ANZAC Day Public Holiday.

In accordance with Clause 2.3 of the Shire of Capel Standing Orders Local Law 2016, and Clause 5.4 of the Local Government Act 1995, the Chief Executive Officer is notified to convene a special meeting of the Council.  

Join us as we honour all Australian personnel who have served in wars, conflicts and peace operations.
