From 1 March 2026, the Recycle Right smartphone app (including bin day reminders) will be retired as part of an update to improve how waste and recycling information is delivered across Western Australia.
So, what’s changing?
❌ The app will no longer be available to download or use
✅Popular tools like the Materials A–Z Guide and Find My Nearest drop-off locations will continue online
✅hese tools are being refreshed to make them easier to use and keep information up to date
❌Bin Day reminders will cease with the closure of the app

Residents can access the latest recycling and waste information anytime by visiting: https://recycleright.wa.gov.au/
Research shows most people already look for this information online, so moving to a web-based format makes it quicker to update, easier to manage, and more accessible for everyone.
We encourage you to bookmark the website so you can quickly check how to dispose of items correctly and find nearby drop-off points.
