The Dalyellup Libraries and Youth Hub, or simply The Hub, is taking shape as a bright, welcoming space designed for everyone. A place to learn, connect, and belong!
With the brickwork almost complete and windows being installed over the coming weeks, the Dalyellup Libraries and Youth Hub is quickly coming to life as an exciting new space for the whole community to enjoy.
Construction is progressing well, with electrical and communications cabling currently being installed throughout the building. In the next few weeks, work will begin on the internal finishes; walls will be lined, fittings installed, and the interior will start to take on its vibrant, welcoming look.
Behind the scenes, there’s plenty happening too. Audio-visual and networking equipment have been procured, ensuring The Hub will be equipped with modern technology to support library services, youth programs, and community events.
The public artworks celebrating both Indigenous and multicultural themes are now nearing completion. These unique designs will soon be featured across different parts of the building, helping to tell Dalyellup’s story and create a strong sense of local identity.
Landscaping design is also being finalised, with works expected to begin in late November to complement the building’s design and create an inviting outdoor space.
Adding to the excitement, branding for The Hub is now underway! The new identity will reflect the centre’s energy, inclusiveness, and connection to the Dalyellup community.
And finally, Western Power has approved the electrical upgrades for the site, with works scheduled to begin in the coming weeks - another key step toward opening the doors of the Hub.
With each milestone, The Hub gets a little closer to becoming the heart of Dalyellup’s community life. From the library to youth spaces, creative corners, and the future café, it’s shaping up to be a space buzzing with energy, ideas, and connection. Stay tuned - the best is yet to come!
