Cyclone Narelle is due to make landfall tomorrow FRIDAY 27 March 2026 near Exmouth as a current Category 4 system.
As the STC Narelle crosses the coast it will lose intensity as it tracks SSE towards the South West of WA and become a low-pressure system as it reaches the South West Land Division
The expected impacts for our Shire localities include:
Heavy rainfall, causing water over roads or localised flooding
Strong damaging winds with the potential to cause fallen trees or powerlines
We strongly recommend downloading the Emergency WA phone app and keeping up to date with alerts from the Bureau of Meterology.

Have an emergency plan and check out around your home. Some things to consider:
Secure loose items around your property
Have a plan for animals where possible
Be mindful of large trees and overhanging branches and don’t park vehicles or stand underneath them
Give those gutters a quick once-over before the rain hits
