Prevent Mosquito Bites - Fight the Bite

Published on Friday, 5 December 2025 at 12:07:02 PM

The Health Department continue to detect debilitating mosquito-borne diseases such as Ross River and Barmah Forest from Dalyellup to Busselton.

Treatment of mosquito breeding sites continues however, adult mosquitoes already on the wing may remain active for the next couple of weeks.

The Shire strongly urges residents and visitors to reduce their risk of being bitten by:
✅ Limiting time outdoors in mosquito-prone areas, particularly at dawn and dusk
✅ Wearing long, loose-fitting clothing
✅ Using insect repellents that have DEET or picaridin

With outdoor sports and the Dalyellup Jingle and Mingle Festival happening this weekend, please ensure that you protect yourselves and your loved ones at all times.
