We’d like to keep our community informed following a recent decision by the Regional Development Assessment Panel.
On Thursday 5 March, a development application for land on Capel Drive and Forrest Road was approved, subject to conditions.
The approved proposal includes:
▪️ 36 short-stay accommodation units
▪️ 52 over-55s lifestyle village homes
▪️ 8 residential units above a future shop development
▪️ Refurbishment of the existing tavern
This is a $30 million development that aims to bring new accommodation, housing options and local amenities to Capel.
The approval is valid for 4 years, giving the applicant time to meet all conditions and begin construction.
