Verge side collection of green waste is undertaken twice a year in the residential areas of Boyanup, Capel, Dalyellup and Peppermint Grove Beach.

Extension of RESTRICTED Burning Period

The RESTRICTED Burning Period for the whole of the Shire of Capel remains and has been extended from 6 May to 12 May 2024 (inclusive).

Any burning will require a permit from the local Fire Control Officer. Details are available on our website Here

The Shire received notice late this afternoon from Main Roads WA that Minninup Bridge has been immediately closed following a very recent inspection.

The closure is associated with an identified structural failure.

The full details, length of closure and remedial action is unknown at this point, until the Shire receives further information from MRWA.

Traffic management is in place onsite.
