Honouring Rural Women in Capel

On Friday, 18th October, in conjunction with the International Day of Rural Women, the Capel CWA, Shire of Capel, and Capel Senior Citizens came together for a special commemorative tree planting of the Stage 2 Grevillea “Eleanor.”
This beautiful grevillea was bred at Kings Park and Botanic Garden as part of the ongoing recognition of the Country Women’s Association of WA Centenary — a living tribute to the strength, resilience, and community spirit of rural women across Western Australia.
The morning concluded in true CWA style with a delicious Devonshire Morning Tea, bringing people together to celebrate friendship, history, and community connection.
💚 Thank you to all who joined in helping grow a lasting legacy for future generations.
