On Friday, 18th October, in
conjunction with the International Day of Rural Women, the Capel CWA, Shire of Capel, and Capel Senior Citizens came together for a special commemorative tree planting of the Stage 2 Grevillea “Eleanor.”
This beautiful grevillea was bred at Kings Park and Botanic Garden as part of the ongoing recognition of the Country Women’s Association of WA Centenary — a living tribute to the strength, resilience, and community spirit of rural women across Western Australia.
The morning concluded in true CWA style with a delicious Devonshire Morning Tea, bringing people together to celebrate friendship, history, and community connection.
