Big things are taking shape in Dalyellup, with Foodbank WA officially breaking ground on a new purpose-built hub set to support people across the South West.
The $8 million facility will bring together food relief with vital wraparound services, including mental health support and financial counselling, creating a single, welcoming space where people can access both immediate help and longer-term support.
Demand for food assistance continues to grow locally, with more than 647,000kg of food distributed last year across the South West. This new hub will help ensure support remains accessible, close to home, and delivered with dignity.
This project is powered by strong collaboration, with key partners including the State Government (through Lotterywest and the Department of Communities), Foodbank WA, Minderoo Foundation (via Telethon), Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, Southern Ports, Youth Focus, Financial Wellbeing Collective, and the Shire of Capel.
Located near public transport and local amenities, the Dalyellup hub has been thoughtfully designed to reduce stigma, increase accessibility and better support our community into the future.
