Due to the severe weather forecast and associated warnings for this Sunday 31 May, the Shire of Capel Waste Transfer Station will be closed for the day.
With damaging winds, heavy rain and hazardous conditions expected, the decision has been made to prioritise the safety of residents, staff and contractors. Operating the facility during these conditions may also pose a risk to infrastructure and access roads.
We understand this may cause inconvenience as many of us like to get busy on a long weekend, but the weather has decided on other plans. We appreciate your understanding as we take a cautious approach during this significant weather event.
