Boyanup Bowls Club Kitchen Refurbishment - Community Budget Request

It is always wonderful to see a community project come to life, and we were thrilled to visit Boyanup Bowls Club to see their recently completed kitchen refurbishment.
Boyanup Bowls Club is a progressive community hub that provides support to other local community groups using its facilities. They have also seen a rapid increase in memberships in recent years and have a series of facility improvements in the pipeline.
Their existing kitchen was no longer fit for purpose, so the club put in for a Community Budget Request from the Shire. Council approved $26,212.00 towards the refurbishment project which included new flooring, cabinetry, electrical and plumbing. The kitchen is now at community club standard and was a great team effort, with members lending their trades and skills to complete the fit out!
The facilities can now be used more effectivity for catering club events, and now with the added benefit of expanding the offering of the facilities to the broader community groups such as Boyanup Progress Association, Boyanup Lions Club, the Applestring Ukulele Group, ANZAC Memorial Service day participants and the Boyanup Memorial Park Committee.
Well done to all involved in this successful project!
