Proposal description

The Shire has received an application seeking approval for the use of gravel and sand extraction at the above lot.  The development involves the following:

·                15.31ha extraction (extension) to existing operations with a total extraction are of 32.58ha;

·                Total of 19 stages ranging in size from 0.9ha to 2ha;

·                Vehicular access will be from the existing crossover from Lowrie Road;

·                Maximum of 75 haulage (return – total 150) trips per day;

·                Removal of 9.7ha of remnant vegetation;

·                Rehabilitation to include a mix of remnant vegetation (3.14ha) and pasture (29.45ha);

·                Proposed extraction timeframe of 10 years.
