Verge side collection of green waste is undertaken twice a year in the residential areas of Boyanup, Capel, Dalyellup and Peppermint Grove Beach.

Extension of RESTRICTED Burning Period

The RESTRICTED Burning Period for the whole of the Shire of Capel remains and has been extended from 6 May to 12 May 2024 (inclusive).

Any burning will require a permit from the local Fire Control Officer. Details are available on our website Here

Minor Community Grants Scheme

The Shire of Capel is excited to announce that the Minor Community Grants Scheme is NOW OPEN!

This initiative is aimed at supporting the development of the community by providing funding opportunities for projects in the areas of sport and recreation, youth development, culture and the arts, as well as equipment and minor projects.

If you are a community group, club, or organization in need of financial assistance, we encourage you to apply for this grant.
