Energy Audit Kits

A partnership between Switch Your Thinking and the Western Australian Government is bringing us the Energy Efficiency Pilot Program. Through this program, Home Energy Audit kits are available at libraries across the state, including the Shire of Capel Libraries!

Home Energy Audit Kits are loanable from Capel, Dalyellup and Boyanup Libraries.

The kits may be loaned for one week, and may be renewed once for a second week if there is no one else waiting for one.

The Do-It-Yourself Home Energy Audit Kits contain the following:

  • A thermal imaging camera to find draughts and gaps in insulation.
  • A plug-in energy monitor the identify energy consumption and the running cost of appliances.
  • A basin flow measuring cup to identify the flow rate of your taps.
  • A thermometer for measuring temperature.
  • An instruction manual explaining how to use these items and how to conduct the audit of your home.
