Essential Criteria:
🔹 Nominees must be a resident of the Shire of Capel, or the organisation must be located within the Shire.
🔹 Nominees must be a volunteer who is not paid for their community work.
🔹 You must inform the person that you are nominating them as a courtesy, as we will be contacting them with an invitation to the event.
🔹 All nominees and nominators will be invited to the event with some of their family members or their community group members.
🔹Individuals who have been awarded the title of Freeman of the Shire are not eligible for Community Award nominations. The title of Freeman of the Shire is the highest honour that Council can bestow on an individual, and as such it sits above the Community Awards Framework.
