𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗦𝗬 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲

The Shire was made aware on Wednesday of effluent waste disposal at Boyanup Sale Yards, which has caused some concern within our community.

Members of the Shire’s Environmental Health Team immediately attended the site to understand the circumstances and have been in contact with Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER).

Managing agents of the Boyanup Sale Yards, WALSA, have self-reported the matter to DWER and are cooperating with DWER’s enquiries. WALSA are arranging for a clean-up of the material as soon as possible

WALSA have also engaged their environmental consultant to review the matter, which will be reported through to DWER.
