Dive into a night of sea, science and culture. Join a passionate group of community leaders in marine science and conservation.

There will be interactive activities and displays, informative presentations and inspirational stories from the guest speakers about their personal journeys into marine biology and conservation.

Busselton Jetty Incorporated

Take a walk along the ocean floor with Amy Gornall and Shopie Teede, Marine Scientists from Busselton Jetty incorporation, Environmental Foundation. Listen to the historical stories of the Geographe Bay coast, and the future ambitions for our coastline.

Sophie and Amy will dive deep into what life is like as Marine Scientists, their ambitions and passions and how they landed these beachfront careers.

Aisling (Ash) Fontanini

From student to award-winning scientist travelling the world studying marine biology. Come chat with Ash Fontanini, a successful applicant of Layne Beachley’s Aim for the Stars Foundation and how her journey led her to work as a Senior Technical Officer for Marine Shellfish Research within the State’s Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development.

Dolphin Discovery Centre

Dolphin Discovery’s CEO David Kerr and Conservation Manager Jan Tierney join us to share not only the Dolphin Discovery’s amazing journey in marine conservation but their inspiring personal stories towards their careers in marine science and conservation.

Kathleen Thompson

Local Boyanup resident, Kathleen Thompson shares her story and amazing work as an underwater photographer, combining her passions for the ocean and photography.
