HOW TO JOIN THE LIBRARY

Everyone is welcome to join the library and membership is free. All members must supply proof of their current residential address and the name, address and phone number of a second contact person.

Your membership entitles you to borrow up to five items per adult and 3 per child and to place reservations. Items may be requested from the entire State Library collection.

Your Library card MUST be presented for you to borrow resources.

A charge will be made for lost/damaged library stock, and to replace lost or damaged library cards.

Books are all due back three weeks from the date of issue, with an option to extend the loan period for a further three weeks if there are no readers waiting for that item. Video's and jigsaws are issued for two weeks.

The libraries offers fiction, including large print, non-fiction, talking books, magazines, videos and CD-ROMS. The junior section offers pre-schoolers a selection of bright and attractive picture books and for older children there is a great selection of fiction and non-fiction. There is also a Young Adult section with some good reads.

Reference books, such as dictionaries, encyclopaedias and atlases are available for use in the library.

PHOTOCOPYING

The libraries also provide a photocopying service for a small charge.

LAMINATING

The Capel, Boyanup and Dalyellup Libraries offer a laminating service up to A3 in size. For pricing please contact the Library on (08) 9727 0290.

INTERNET ACCESS

The libraries provide computers for the public to access the Internet and for word processing (not available at Gelorup Community Library). It is possible to print out information at 25 cents per A4 page. First 1/2 hour access is free, subsequent 1/2 hours cost $2.50. Internet email access cost $2.50 per 1/2 hour.

MOTHER & BABY RHYME TIME

During term time, the Capel Library will be holding Mother & Baby Rhyme Time at 10.00am on Thursday's. Rhyme Time is designed to introduce very young children to traditional and modern nursery rhymes, hand and finger rhymes and rhythmic verse. Parents and children are encouraged to stay and enjoy morning tea and share experiences with one another after the rhyme session is over.

STORY TIME

Pre-school Story Time is held weekly during the school term.

Capel Library – Fridays at 10.00am

Boyanup Library – Wednesdays at 11.00am

Dalyellup Library - Tuesdays at 9.00am
