ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

The Environmental Health Section administers the requirements of the Health Act and the Capel Health Local Laws which includes recycling, rubbish removal, refuse site management, food premises inspections, food sampling, water testing of public facilities, shire building maintenance, Disability Services Plan, noise monitoring and pest control (including mosquitoes).

Council staff monitor the environmental health of the district and implement programs and actions to maintain environmental health standards. Staff also ensure that building plans and effluent disposal systems and any subsequent construction, complies with the Health Act and other statutory provisions.

A number of information sheets on various health issues are available from the Shire Office or can be obtained by clicking here.

Colin can be contacted on (08) 97270222 (office hours) or you can email him on info@capel.wa.gov.au.
