Youth

 

The Shire of Capel has for many years been leading the way with the InZone School Holiday Program.  This program caters for young people between the ages of 12-17 years who currently attend school and involves actively getting out and about.

 

The "Youth Driver Development" program is another program that has been well utilised by the young people within our Shire and is heavily subsidised by the Shire.

 

Our Skate Parks are a youth facility that has been very popular with young people in Capel, Boyanup and Gelorup and to date skaters have had the opportunity to paint the skate park in Capel and Boyanup.  Skate Comps and workshops are held during the school holidays so young people can increase their skills and safety awareness.

  

 

Youth Advisory Council (YAC)

  

The Shire of Capel Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of young people aged between 13 and 18 that are involved in community engagement and volunteering within the Shire. The YAC is a great way to meet other enthusiastic young people, learn new skills and pursue your passions and make a real, positive change in your community.
