Home and Community Care Service Types
Transport vehicles are in your area on a daily basis. We provide transport to doctors surgeries, hospitals, shopping, banking or to enable you to enjoy social activities, eg at a day centre or senior citizens clubs.
Wheelchair specific transport is available, and is brokered through the Bunbury Taxi Service.
Is to assist you with the heavier household jobs, eg vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning toilets and bathrooms. The assessment process will determine if you require weekly or fortnightly assistance. Domestic assistance is generally 1 to 1 1/2 hours each occasion.
Maintenance of the home includes; changing of light globes, gutter cleaning, fixing leaking taps and other small maintenance tasks.
This service combined with the maintenance service, assists people to maintain their own homes and gardens. It includes the mowing of lawns, pruning, weeding and removing rubbish to the tip.
This service aims to support the carer by providing an "in-house" short term substitute care, this allows the carer to pursue their own activities and appointments.
The person being cared for may also benefit from the break. Carer support can be "one-off" or on a regular basis.
Is provided to people who are socially or geographically isolated and require individual support. One-on-one Social support is available.
A three monthly calendar providing small group bus outings is also available, three times a week to geographic locations for example, Meelup Beach for a picnic or to activities of Interest ie, Art Galleries, Entertainment.
A range of social activities with lunch and transport provided.
